BRYMO AND CHOCOLATE CITY LAWSUIT ADJOURNED

The ongoing legal battle between Chocolate City and Brymo is set to continue as the case has been adjourned to a later date.

At a sitting yesterday at the Federal High Court in Lagos, the presiding judge, Justice Buba I.N was forced to adjourn the hearing after counsels from both parties clashed in the courtroom. The session started by 11:14 a.m and ended by 1:00 p.m.

Brymo’s legal representative, Nike Olagbede and Chocolate City’s counsel, T.O Lawal  clashed after a disagreement which led to the use of derogatory words between the two learned counsels during a court session. Justice Buba then announced that the case will be adjourned to a later date. ‘I will adjourn this case because the counsels have failed to portray themselves according to the stipulations of the court acts and acted in complete disregard to the court regulations,’ Justice Buba said.

The case has now been adjourned to Tuesday, March 4, 2014 as agreed by both counsels.

JIM IYKE REPORTEDLY IN COMA AFTER CAR ACCIDENT

Media reports from Ghana suggests that ‘bad boy’ Nigerian actor, Jim Iyke was involved in a ghastly car crash last Saturday. He reportedly went into coma after the unfortunate incident, but he is said to be in a stable condition now.

The accident was reported to have occurred around Kanda Highway in Accra on his way to the location of a new movie.

It was further reported that Jim Iyke was admitted at the Nyaho Medical Centre in Accra, Ghana, where his rumoured girlfriend, Nadia Buari has been looking after him.

AC Milan striker on loan at Montpellier, France, M’Baye Niang, was, on Monday, February 24, 2014, sentenced to a suspended 18-month jail sentence after a hit and run car accident.

The striker, who hit several cars before crashing his Ferrari into a tree earlier this month, was charged with causing unintentional injuries, endangering people’s lives, a hit and run and driving without a licence.

HIV- POSITIVE PASTOR SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS IN PRISON FOR INTENTIONALLY SPREADING VIRUS

After being convicted just one month ago of knowingly exposing female congregants to the HIV virus, former pastor of Full Gospel Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, Minister Craig Lamar Davis, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, reports My FOX Atlanta.

According to reports, Davis, who was accused of carrying on extramarital affairs with two women. One of his accusers, who allegedly remained celibate for 15 years prior to sleeping with the minister, tested positive for the deadly virus, while his second accuser, Ronita McAfee, tested negative. Davis, however, denies ever sleeping with McAfee.

POLICEMAN ATTACKS WIFE WITH CUTLASS OVER MISSING N70,000

A  policeman, Michael Okoli, has been arrested by the police at Okokomaiko Division for allegedly  attacking his wife, Felicia, with a  cutlass.

The incident happened at their  home, 4, Abukareem Close,  Afromedia Estate, Lagos State.

His wife is in a critical condition at Gbagada General Hospital after she was rejected by many hospitals.

The Delta State‑born Okoli confessed that he was angry after he did not find N70,000 he kept aside for house rent and when he asked his wife about the missing money, she was rude to him.

In  anger, he took a cutlass and attacked Felicia. After the attack, she was taken to several hospitals before she was eventually admitted at Gbagada General Hospital where she is being treated.

DEATH TOLL FROM BOKO HARAM ATTACK AT YOBE GIRLS COLLEGE RISES TO 43

The death toll from a school massacre in Yobe by suspected Boko Haram Islamists on Tuesday has risen to 43, a hospital source in the troubled northeastern Yobe state said.

“Ambulances have been bringing in bodies from Federal Government College in (the town of Buni Yadi,” a senior medical source at the Sani Abacha Specialist Hospital in Yobe’s capital Damaturu told AFP. “So far 43 bodies have been brought and are lying at the morgue,” he said, requesting anonymity as he was not authorised to discuss death tolls.

Yobe’s police chief Sanusi Rufai told AFP that 29 people were killed but it was not immediately clear if all of the dead were students.

Rufai said he was en route to Buni Yadi with Yobe’s covernor Ibrahim Geidam to assess the extent of the damage.

Yobe is one of three northeastern states which was placed under emergency rule in May last year when the military launced a massive operation to crush the Boko Haram uprising.

BOKO HARAM KILLS 29 STUDENTS OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT COLLEGE

Islamic sect,Boko Haram kills 29 secondary school students in Yobe while they were sleeping in their hostels and this attack was confirmed by JTF.


Reports from Yobe State indicate that about 29 students of the Federal Government College, Buni Yadi, were killed on Monday night while they slept in their dormitories.

The spokesperson of the Joint Task Force, JTF, in the state, Lazarus Eli, confirmed the attack to Aljazeera network. He however did not give the exact number of casualties.

Nigeria Singer, Tillaman has parted ways with his record label, Euphoric Heritage Records.

According to reports, the artiste who’s a Prince of Oyo Kingdom, said the end of the relationship with his record label was amicable and bereft or dispute or conflict.

The ‘Koma Roll’ singer joins a growing list of artistes who have left their labels this year. Recently, Skales and EME parted ways, while Patoranking left Timaya’s Dem Mama Records.

Apart from being an artiste, Tillaman is also the Musical Youth Ambassador for Oyo State.

He will be releasing visuals for his latest single, ‘Rumba Style’, later this week.

So far, there are no details about which label/management he plans to pitch his tent with.

65-YEAR-OLD MAN AND HIS 3 SONS NABBED FOR ROBBERY

A 65-year-old man has been arrested in Asaba, Delta State along with his three sons for robbery.

Also arrested were three other robbery suspects, who were dislodged from an uncompleted building allegedly provided by the father of three.

PASTOR RETURNS TO CHURCH AFTER BEING CAUGHT PANTS DOWN WITH MARRIED WOMAN

In a video that went viral some weeks back, a married Kenyan pastor was caught in a hotel having sex with the wife of one of his church members.

The pastor, Anthony Maina of the Kenya Assemblies of God Eastern Gate Church has asked for forgiveness from his congregation during Sunday church service.

Pastor Anthony arrived with his wife Beth, and two children said, "I’m here to tell everyone that I made a mistake, and I have sought God’s forgiveness. The incident saved me because I would have committed more sins."


Following the incident, he was suspended by the church indefinitely.

A spokesperson for the church said, "The pastor has committed a crime that goes against the teachings of God, and therefore, he can no longer serve in the church."

However, his wife Beth says she has forgiven him, adding that they have to come together and will move forward as a family.

QuestionMark Entertainment boss, Kelvin Luciano, has filed a N20m suit against KCEE’s Five Star Music.

The suit was filed against singer Harrysong for allegedly evading his contract with QuestionMark, and against Five Star Music for entering into a new contract with Harry Song despite knowing that he was yet to serve out his contract with his former label.

According to a statement signed by Luciano, ’QuestionMark Entertainment was into separate exclusive music recording, artist management and music publishing contracts with HarrySong in 2009. The obligations of parties to the said contracts have neither lapsed nor have they been fulfilled.’

BRANDY EXPRESS DESIRE TO COLLABO WITH TIWA SAVAGE

American songstress, Brandy has expressed her desire to work with Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage. The international and award-winning singer was in Nigeria for a show held in Lagos on Valentine Day.

While addressing journalists at a press conference held in Lagos, Brandy disclosed that she has admiration for Tiwa Savage, adding that the Nigerian songstress has an ‘amazing voice’.

The American said she wouldn't mind to do a song with Tiwa Savage, who used to be a back-up singer for Mary J Blige, another popular American female music star.

‘I like her and she has an amazing voice. Please, when you see her, tell her I would like to have her doing a song with me. She is a fantastic singer,’ Brandy told journalists at the briefing.

Tiwa Savage returned to Nigeria few years ago. She reportedly dumped a banking job in the United Kingdom to pursue a career in music in Nigeria.

KaySwitch has confirmed he’s joining the baby daddy’s club this year!

The Pop singer (real name Kehinde Oyebanjo) was earlier reported to be expecting a child with a Liberian beauty queen Meenakshi Monica Subramani. The D’banj protégé says the news is true.

‘Yes, it’s true.  My girlfriend is pregnant. It really makes me feel like a man’, KaySwitch told Encomium Magazine recently.

And will they be tying the knot like his sister did in 2013. The ‘Obimo’ singer says yes but leaves us thinking when.

‘We’ll get married one day, though I cannot disclose when now’, he added.

In January 2014, the young couple celebrated their first anniversary together.

Kim Kardashian further disproved rumors that she recently received butt implants by posting a cheeky flashback Friday photo highlighting her most famous asset -- her bodacious booty -- from an event five years earlier.

It shows her posing on the red carpet with her back to the camera, her derriere on display in a clingy, super-short turtleneck dress. The flashback Friday post comes on the heels of Kardashian's extended Twitter rant earlier this week, in which she slammed reports that her famous curves are fake. "I'm seeing all these nonsense tabloids claiming I have butt implants-injections. Get a life!" the engaged star tweeted Wednesday.

FRSC DISMISSES OFFICER WHO RAPED COLLEAGUE'S DAUGHTER

The authorities of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, on Feburay 20 said a 31-year- old officer of the agency, Emmanuel Ilori, who defiled his colleague’s nine-year-old daughter (names withheld) has been dismissed. Its Head of Operations in Ondo State, Sunday Ajayi, said the action of the officer was an embarrassment that should not be treated with levity.

According to Ondo police image maker, Wole Ogodo, Ilori, now in police detention, will be charged to court any moment from now.

The suspect was said to have visited his co worker in his residencelocated at Omitogun Estate Shebi, area of Akure metropolis where he committed the crime.

KWAM1 THREE DAUGHTERS SET TO WED SAME WEEK

There is every reason for this veteran and The King of Fuji, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall the 1st(KWAM1) to be happy. The happy father will be giving out three of his daughters in marriage next month, and will also be celebrating his 57th birthday the same week with his daughters Nikhai ceremonies.

The Nikhai will take place at his newly built mansion in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. The celebration starts with his own birthday on Monday, March 3, 2014, and on the 4th of March, the following day; one of his daughters Hidayat will have her Nikhai ceremony. Aminat, another of his daughters will also have hers on the 6th of March, while Sekinat will have hers on the 9th of March all in the same week.
