NIGERIANS CLOSE DOWN BARS IN CAPE TOWN

Hundreds of Nigerians kept late nights here in Cape Town as celebrations over Super Eagles victory over Morocco continued till early hours of Sunday across the city.

Reveling Nigerian soccer fans were joined by their friends from South Africa at various night pubs, particularly, the Cumba’s Lounge, a night club owned by a Nigerian businessman.

The entire set up was typically Nigerian as the club was populated by green-white-green colour. The Super Eagles jersey suddenly became the hottest property as those who could not wear it used the Nigerian flag as head ties, ties and the like to identify with the Nigerian fans.

Inside the pub, the music was Nigerian as records by popular Nigerian artistes like 2face Idibia, PSquare, Prince Ice, Whizzkid, Flavour among others blared from loud speakers.

The revelers danced as if there was no tomorrow.
