The police in Gassol local government area of Taraba State arrested a young lady, Halima Asar Tsar, of Anguwan Awankyesu for dumping her new-born twins in a neighbour’s toilet.
According to reports,the owner of the toilet, Mrs Evelin Joseph, of the same address, went to the toilet on that fateful morning and discovered the babies in her toilet and immediately alerted the police.
When the twins were taken out of the toilet, it was discovered that they had been stabbed to death.
When reporters visited Halimat’s father, Mr Asar Tsar, in his residence in Mutum Biyu, he confirmed that the twins were born prematurely, saying that instead of allowing the babies to undergo incubation, she decided to kill them.
