KANYE WEST POSTPONES YEEZUS TOUR AFTER TRUCK ACCIDENT

The rapper, 36, has postponed his Yeezus Tour following an accident involving one of the trucks carrying his equipment, his team said in a statement on Thursday, Oct. 31.

On the road to Vancouver,a truck carrying The Yeezus Tour's custom-made video truss and 60-foot circular LED screen was in an accident that damaged the gear beyond repair," the statement read. "This gear is central to the staging of The Yeezus Tour, and central to the creative vision put forth by Kanye West and his design team at DONDA."

U.S TELLS UNITED NATIONS THAT IT WON'T SPY ON THE WORLD BODY.

The United Nations said on Wednesday that the United States has pledged not to spy on the world body's communications after a report that the National Security Agency had gained access to the U.N. video conferencing system.

The United Nations contacted U.S. authorities after the spying revelations were made by German news magazine Der Spiegel in August, citing documents leaked by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden.

"I understand that the U.S. authorities have given assurances that United Nations communications are not and will not be monitored," U.N. spokesman Martin Nesirky told reporters on Wednesday. Nesirky declined to comment further when asked if U.S. authorities had previously spied on U.N. communications.

Marvin Gaye's family is responding in a major way to Robin Thicke's lawsuit claiming that "Blurred Lines" wasn't stolen from Gaye's "Got to Give It Up."

On Wednesday, the family went nuclear with counterclaims that allege that Thicke stole the summer mega-hit and also committed copyright infringement on Gaye's "After the Dance" to create his song, "Love After War."

Security forces in Libya are searching for heavily armed men who seized a truck carrying more than $50 million in cash in the city of Sirte, the state news agency LANA reported Tuesday.

The group of 10 men intercepted the truck,which was carrying 53 million Libyan dinars (about $43 million) and another 12 million dinars (around $10 million) in euros and U.S. dollars Monday evening.

The money shipment from the Central Bank of Libya was flown in from Tripoli and was on its way to the bank's Sirte branch when the truck was intercepted at an intersection near the airport by the group, which carried small and medium-size weapons.

The head of the Akhigbe family, Chief Joseph Akhigbe confirmed the death to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in their Fugar country home in Estako Central Local Government Area of Edo.

He said the eldest son of the deceased called him on the telephone at about midnight from the US and announced the death of his father.

IBM PC PIONEER WILLIAM.C. LOWE DIES,AGED 72

William C Lowe, who supervised the birth of IBM's first personal computer, has died aged 72 in Lake Forest, Illinois.

The IBM Personal Computer, known as the 5150, was launched in August 1981, several years after Apple had brought its first computer to market.

Mr Lowe was instrumental in driving IBM's PC project from conception to manufacture within the space of a year.Until then, IBM had been primarily known for large, mainframe computers.

Aware that IBM needed to play catch-up in the nascent PC market, Mr Lowe bypassed the company's rather cumbersome proprietary development process and brought in components from outside to speed things up.

50 Cent has reached a plea deal following an incident in which he alleged kicked his baby mama and destroyed a bunch of her property back in June.

He was charged with five criminal counts following the incident - one count of misdemeanor domestic violence, and four counts of misdemeanor vandalism.

On Monday, Oct. 28, the hip hop star stopped by radio station Power 106 for an interview with Big Boy Neighborhood, in which he hinted that there'd be some big surprises -- bigger than both the baseball stadium where he popped the question and Kardashian's massive diamond ring -- when he and his fiancee eventually tie the knot.

Confessing to Big Boy that the couple are aiming to marry sometime "next summer," the 36-year-old "Black Skinhead" rapper offered just one other tantalizing tease."Two words," he said when asked about the wedding. "Fighter jets."

The charges against singer Chris Brown and his bodyguard stemming from a weekend fight were reduced to simple assault misdemeanors Monday.

The two men, who had spent the previous 36 hours in a Washington jail, entered a packed courtroom in leg irons and handcuffs,but at the end they were unshackled and released without bail Monday afternoon.

Brown, 24, was ordered to report to his California probation officer within 48 hours and to stay at least 100 yards away from the man he is accused of assaulting early Sunday. Both men must return to court on November 24.
