LAMAR ODOM ABSENT AT KANYE WEST PROPOSAL TO KIM KARDASHIAN.

Majority of Kim’s friends and family were there to witness Kanye pop the question on Oct.21,but noticeably missing from the occasion was her sister Khloe Kardashian’s troubled husband, Lamar.

Lamar Odom missed an important Kardashian family moment on Oct. 21 when Kanye West, 36, proposed to longtime love Kim Kardashian, 33. Lamar purposely did not attend the engagement celebration because he felt his presence would have made things “awkward,” according to a close source.

Lamar,33,decided to skip the extravaganza because of the tension between his family and the Kardashians.

“It would have been a little awkward for Lamar to be there,” a source connected to Lamar explained “His side of the family isn’t too keen on Kim’s side and that would be have been bad energy. Lamar’s not stupid and knows what’s best and decided to just sit it out and let Kim and Kanye do their thing.”

While it’s sad that Lamar’s alleged drug addiction seems to have driven a wedge between him and his wife, Khloe Kardashian, 29, and the rest of her family, we think it was probably the right thing for him to stay home. Who knows what drama could have occurred if he had showed up?


Lamar Odom Congratulates Kanye West & Kim Kardashian On Their Engagement,Even though the former NBA star chose not to attend Kim and Kanye’s momentous affair, he did have some kind words for the happy couple.

“He sent his congratulations to Kim and Kanye and he thinks that’s lovely,” the source reveals. “He really does. He can’t believe Kanye didn’t propose sooner. He thinks it’s great and he’s really happy for Kim.”While a wedding date has not officially been set, we’re told Lamar will suit up for the nuptials — if he gets an invite.

“If he’s invited, he’ll be there,” the source adds. “That’s no question.Kim would want everybody to attend.”
